Lady and the Tramps is an eclectic mix of
women embodying a sexy sultry innocence and the trampy vampy daring spirit
needed to bring you the art of the tease. The Nashville Burlesque troupe
includes Lady Lola, Belle Bombshell, Miss Kitty Lee, Tequila Rose and Vera
VaVoom. Where did it all begin? Hold on tight, the story goes something like
this....... In the part of town where the streets are paved with polished
stones and diamond encrusted lamps light the way, there was a brothel of the
highest class. Running the place was an ex-jazz singer looking to make the
big bucks, Lola (that's Lady Lola to you!). She had the most happening
brothel this side of the Mississippi. Everything was running quite smoothly
for Lady until one very hot night, in with the tumbleweed came some drifters
blowing into town and that is when things got a little crazy. Four vagrants
,wanderers, Tramps-if you will, showed up at Lady's doorstep asking for
work. Lady took one look at them and knew their innocent charm and beauty
would bring the fellas a-runnin'. So she took them in. But once those sweet
little girls got the idea of just what kind of establishment they had
stumbled upon, they hit the road again, because after all, they were looking
for good honest work. But Lady Lola wasn't going to let them get away so
quickly cause she was turning a pretty penny that first night alone with
customers who came just to watch those sweet girls dance in the parlor along
to that saloon piano. Just dancing, no funny business at all!! So she got
her an idea that maybe she could get back out on the road and go back to
what she really knew. She could belt out her sultry songs and the girls
could get all fancied up in pretty clothes and dance. So the girls agreed
and that night, Lady and the Tramps was born. So they moved around the
country but they are still at it, tantalizing everyone that watches them
perform. Always teasing, but never pleasing, after all, don't YOU like to
left wanting more?.... |
